About Me
My new home town, Nice, France
For those of you who are interested, here’s the short version of my story: I’m 32 years old, and was originally born in Wisconsin, USA. I now live in Nice, France after a long story involving a girl. I moved here after meeting her in the States and well, it just didn’t work out, but I decided to stay anyways.
Now I live in Nice. The fun part is, that I work for a promotional marketing company based in the US. My job title is “Electronic Marketing Director” which means that I handle all of the email, electronic newsletters, e-commerce site design and production (I have a team based in the US for doing the programming work). I work directly with several fortune 500 companies, and our company is in the top 1% of our industry. Since all of my job duties deal with electronic media, I can easily do my job from home, which allows me to work from Nice, France.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy photography, diving, snorkeling (obviously), free diving, hiking in the Alps, traveling (which I don’t do enough of), and the occasional video game.

My first snorkeling experience was about 4 years ago in Costa Rica. Growing up in land-locked WI, I never had tried it as a youngster, so I was a little apprehensive. But I was really surprised at how natural it felt to me, never having done it before. I remember it well, the water was clear, we saw a good variety of fish, and I saw my first eel.
About 2 years ago, I moved to Nice, and since then, the sea has consumed more and more of my thoughts and more and more of my time. I now dive and free dive regularly here every week. This is why I started this site; to share my experiences and love of the Mediterranean Sea with others. I figured by offering up this site as a resource for others, I might help them to enjoy these precious azure waters in the same way that I have.
